Full Overview

Although the global economy is strengthening, the UK economy faces an uncertain future. Brexit negotiations, the US and an unpredictable geopolitical climate mean that disruption to markets could be just around the corner. With interest rates starting to rise and inflation expected to continue on an upward path, insurers must consider changing their portfolios to suit the evolving environment.

As attitudes to risk and return change, insurers are shifting their allocations towards non-traditional asset classes such as property, infrastructure and private equity. In the current environment, what is the outlook for yield across the spectrum of asset classes?  Which has the best investment potential and what are the most effective strategies to boost returns? How can insurers weather economic uncertainties while managing portfolios in a way that maximises yield and manages risk appropriately? Is there yield in diversity?

Financial Times Live and MandateWire present the Managing Assets for Insurers half day conference in London. With a changeable global economic outlook the agenda shall explore insurers investment insights on managing volatility and delivery returns through asset diversification.
