Men are more likely than women to invest their wealth, according to data from the Financial Conduct Authority and other UK government departments. This suggests there are a significant number of women with financial assets who have the potential to invest, presenting both a challenge and an opportunity for the wealth management industry.
AI could offer advisers the tools to make financial information easier to access and understand, and tailor how they communicate with clients. Research suggests that female wealth holders are more likely to make use of these tech tools. Nearly seven in 10 women (69%) use AI applications to generate ideas and test options, compared with 56% of men, according to a Capital Group report on inherited wealth.
Could AI help advisers engage a whole new client base who have not traditionally sought professional advice? At the same time supporting women move from holding wealth to investing it?
The Financial Times, in partnership with Capital Group, is hosting a webinar for advisers and financial services professionals to explore how AI is changing women’s relationship with wealth and investment. Industry leaders will examine how AI can lower barriers to financial engagement and education, personalise interactions with female clients and reach a new group of investors.
